Nick Carle
Midfielder Nick Carle has vowed to break his duck and help fire Crystal Palace to promotion.
Carle, 26, admits his frustration at failing to find the net in 20 appearances for Bristol City last season.
After joining Palace for £1million over the summer, the Australian is desperate to get goals for the Eagles and believes Shaun Derry's presence in the middle can help him achieve it.
He said: "I've still got a long way to go; for me it's about keeping my head down because I know I've still got a lot to prove.
"I'm definitely looking to add goals to my game next season. There're improvements to make in everyone's game and I'm a player who likes to work hard on my weaknesses - I feel there's got to be a lot more goals from me next season.
"I'm hoping I do manage to get on the scoresheet a few times next season because I know how important it is to score goals from midfield. I always feel very comfortable creating but I've got to get myself in more goalscoring positions.
"With Shaun Derry sitting deep the system here should suit me a bit more and there’ll be more chances to get forward."
He added: "For me a successful season would be getting to the Premier League. I want to play at the highest level possible so I really want to push for that. I would be disappointed with anything other than promotion."
