A Sunday newspaper claims that Iain Dowie is set to become new first-team coach at Crystal Palace. Dowie is at QPR at the moment, but is leaving the club at the end of the season when his contract finishes.
Iain Dowie, who had a short spell at Crystal Palace in 1995, had applied for the vacant managers job at QPR, but failed to get it.
The Northern Ireland forward took over as caretaker manager at Loftus Road earlier this season, but will now leave the club at the end of the season to pursue a coaching/managing carreer.
It is rumoured that he will take a coaching job at Crystal Palace after The Eagles sacked Glenn Cockerill last week.
