Kit Symons has left Crystal Palace after the arrival of new manager Neil Warnock.
Warnock has shaken up the backrom staff and first team coach Symons is deemed surplus to requirements.
Mick Jones becomes Warnock's assistant, and former Manchester City and England defender Keith Curle is the new first team coach.
A statement on the club's website said: "First Team Coach Kit Symons has stepped down from his role at Crystal Palace Football Club with immediate effect.
"The club would like to thank him for his efforts both as player and coach since joining in December 2001 and wish him all the best of luck for the future."
Symons signed from Fulham in 2001 and made 60 appearances before joining the coaching staff and had a stint as caretaker manager after Steve Kember's sacking in 2003.
