Crystal Palace got a 1-1 against Burnley at Turf Moor.
Palace started the game brightly as Paul Dickov saw a volleyed effort from the edge of the area fly just wide after three minutes.
But two minutes later, they took the lead through centre-half Mark Hudson who powered home Ben Watson's free-kick past former Eagles keeper Gabor Kiraly.
Kiraly had to be alert to deny Dickov, before the home side levelled the scores in the 13th minute when Michael Blake converted Robbie Blake's cross.
Burnley's Kyle Lafferty went close with a long-range strike, while Palace could have added another when Dickov clattered into Kiraly after chasing a long ball and James Scowcroft missed the rebound.
At the start of the second half, Speroni beat out a strike from Andy Gray who later missed the target from close range when it would have been easier to score on the hour mark.
Blake had two further chances to score a winner for the hosts and in the last minute, Wade Elliot's drive smacked against the bar.
Sub Clinton Morrison almost got a late goal, but dragged his shot straight at former teammate Kiraly.
Palace: Speroni, Butterfield, Hudson, Cort, Craig, Soares, Fletcher, Watson, Green (Hughes 60), Scowcroft (Morrison 76), Dickov (Idrizaj 60).
Not used: Flinders, Lawrence.
