Jon Macken has made a deadline day move to Derby County on a free transfer.
Macken, 29, struggled to make an impact during his time at Palace since joining from Man City in July 2005.
The striker found the net on two occasions from 30 appearances and was farmed out on loan to Ipswich in September.
But his high wages proved to be a stumbling block to make the move permanent and Palace decided to cut their losses and release him to Derby.
