Jobi McAnuff will be out for up to two weeks after undergoing a hernia opertion.
The winger was substituted during the Eagles 2-1 home defeat to Cardiff on Saturday after picking up a groin injury.
It forced him to miss Tuesday night's 2-0 reverse at home to West Brom and McAnuff will be out of the trip to Leicester on Saturday.
The 24-year-old will meet the same top-class German surgeon who treated Ben Watson, Marco Reich and Wayne Andrews.
Palace boss Peter Taylor said: "Jobi McAnuff had a hernia operation on Monday. It's exactly the same as what Ben Watson had done and he won't be available for Saturday, but hopefully he may be back for the Plymouth game."
