Clinton Morrison hopes to get back on the goal trail after overcoming injury.
The sharp-shooter netted a spectacular winning goal in Palace's 1-0 win over Coventry on Saturday for his second of the season.
Morrison, 27, now hopes to nail down a place in Peter Taylor's first eleven after finally shaking off a troublesome knee injury.
"I had a knee problem and missed the second leg of the Watford play-off after doing it in training," he said.
"I missed a few games for Ireland in the summer, this pre-season I had an injection and only had about a week and a half of pre-season.
"But I feel fitter now, I’m getting much better and the only way I can get fit is to play games. I am not the sort of person that likes to keep coming off the bench to get fit because I find it difficult to get into the game. I want to start games."
Saturday's trip to Hull sees former manager Taylor reunited with his old club, along with Leon Cort and Stuart Green.
Morrison said: "It will be good with Taylor going back to his club, I don't know what sort of reception he'll get and there are two other boys going back in Leon and Stuart so we'll see how it goes.
"We know it will be difficult, but if we play the football we have been in the last two games then we have a great chance."
