Crystal Palace
Hot prospect Rhoys Wiggins has ruptured knee ligaments after a bad challenge during the match against Crystal Palace USA.
The 18-year-old recently signed his first professional contract with the club, but the injury suffered on Saturday will put him out of action for a minimum of six months.
Kit Symons told the club's website: "Rhoys will need to have reconstructive surgery so he'll be out for a minimum of six months.
"Rhoys is an outstanding prospect and it's a huge blow to him."
"It's a test of character and I'm sure he'll come back. He is very strong physically and he'll come back mentally stronger from this experience.", Symons added.
