Wayne Andrews has signed for Coventry City on a free transfer.

The striker-cum-winger failed to find a regular place in the first eleven since joining from Colchester United two years ago.

He was used mostly as a substitute in the 39 appearances made wearing the red 'n blue stripes and scored one goal.

Coventry boss Micky Adams decided to snap up the pacey 28-year-old after he was released by Palace last month.

"Wayne is blessed with pace and will bring another dimension to the squad," said Adams.

"I'm looking to bring fresh legs into the club with the enthusiasm and ability to take us forward and I believe Wayne fits that bill."
