Vassilis Lakis has quit Crystal Palace as the expected mass exodus begins following the Eagles' relegation from the Premiership.
The Greek international, 28, signed on a one-year contract in September from AEK Athens.
He made seven starts and 12 sub appearances on the wing but failed to impress for Iain Dowie's side.
An AEK Athens club statement said: "AEK has an agreement with Vassilis Lakis. The international midfielder returns to our team on a three-year contract."
