Milan Baros completes his hat-trick in the last minute to give Liverpool a 3-2 victory over visiting Palace.
It was roygh justice on the Eagles who twice came back from goals behind to level with the Reds.
Baros opened the scoring after winning a penalty in the 23rd minute when he was hsoved in the back by Mikele Leigertwood. The Czech striker converted the penalty kick.
A minute before half-time, the Eagles got a surprise equaliser from Joonas Kolkka for his first goal in a Palace shirt. Tony Popovic picked him out on the left and he fired home a rising shot past Chris Kirkland.
Seconds later, Liverpool regained the lead as Xabi Alonso's free-kick was put across the goal by Harry Kewell and Baros scored from close range.
They could have extended the lead before the break but for a superb save by Gabor Kiraly from Luis Garcia.
Seven minutes into the second period, Michael Hughes got an equaliser for Palace to make it 2-2, heading home Kolkka's centre.
Liverpool searched for the winning goal and in the dying seconds, Popovic hauled down Baros and he completed his hat-trick and seal the points for his side in the 90th minute.
Crystal Palace: Kiraly, Leigertwood, Popovic, Boyce, Granville, Routledge, Watson, Riihilahti, Hughes, Kolkka, Freedman.
Subs: Speroni, Hudson, Soares, Andrews, Lakis.
