Out-of-favour midfielder Tommy Black has joined Sheffield United for a month's loan spell.
Black has struggled to make the bench this season and Palace have decided to let him join Neil Warnock's Sheffield United in time for their match against Wigan on Saturday.
Black was originally muted to be joining Leeds United, along with Dougie Freedman, but that deal broke down after Freedman rejected the move.
Black's agent David Manasseh said: "With first team opportunities limited at Crystal Palace so far this season for Tommy, we both felt it was the right time for him to get some games under his belt.
"As soon as Sheffield United showed interest, we were both sure it was the right move to make.
"I am sure Tommy will prove he still has much to offer and will eventually force his way back into Iain Dowie's plans."
