Oldham Athletic have accepted Palace's bids for goalkeeper Les Pogliacomi and midfielder Paul Murray.
Boss Iain Dowie has already spoken to the duo who can leave for free at the end of the season.
And although Oldham have presented them with improved deals, Palace are believed to have offered them more money.
Oldham chief executive Alan Hardy said: "We have spoken to both players and told them we would like them to stay. But as from January 1, we cannot stop out-of-contract players from speaking to other clubs.
"Palace have made a bid for both players which we have reluctantly accepted. You have to bear in mind both of them can leave for nothing at the end of the season."
