Crystal Palace are said to have rejected a bid from Sheffield United to swap Marcus Bent for striker Clinton Morrison. Morrison was transfer listed three weeks ago after a series of poor performances.
Clinton Morrison, Hayden Mullins and Jamie Smith were all listed by manager Alan Smith and it seems as if that was what they needed to start playing well again.
However, Smith said that Morrison will remain on the transfer list for the time being.
Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock wanted Morrison plus cash for ex-Eagles striker Bent. Chairman Simon Jordan however dismissed the exchange.
Cardiff owner Sam Hammam also appears to have enquired about Morrison, but there have been no offers for the other two transfer listed Eagles, Mullins and Smith.
Meanwhile, former Palace fan favourite Sun Jihai could be returning to Selhurst Park as Simon Jordan is planning a £600,000 bid for the Chinese full back.
Jihai left the South London outfit as they were forced to sell him when the club was in administration.
The popular Chinese international could make his return within the next couple of weeks, if everything goes smoothly.
