Caretaker-boss Kit Symons was delighted with only Palace's second clean sheet of the season in the draw at Walsall.
He said: "As with any match I would have liked to come away with three points but I thought we deserved a draw and was pleased with many aspects of our game.
"Walsall are a very good side here at The Bescot, are in good form and are a tidy team with some good ball players. We came here with a game plan which I thought worked very well to give us a share of the points.
"There were some good individual performances and a real pleasing aspect was the clean sheet. It's only the second of the season and after putting in a lot of work in on this area we were pleased how that went today."
He added: "If we don't concede I am always confident we can get goals as we have players through the team who pass the ball well and create chances to give us opportunities at the other end.
"We worked hard going forward playing some good stuff but our final ball let us down which is something we must look at but it's not the end of the world and must take the positives out of the match."
