Crystal Palace have signed Sunderland goalkeeper Thomas Myhre on one-month's loan.
Steve Kember swooped for the Norweigan after freeing up cash through the sale of Hayden Mullins to solve his goalkeeping crisis.
First-choice stopper Matt Clarke has been sidelined all season with a knee injury and he is expected to retire because of it.
Cedric Berthelin has been putting in solid displays inbetween the sticks but Kember wants to give him more competiton.
Myhre, 30, has played for Everton, had loan spells at Rangers, Birmingham City and Tranmere Rovers, and played abroad with Viking Stavanger and Turkish giants Besiktas.
He has only made three Sunderland appearances since joining from Besiktas in July 2002 and will be in the squad for the trip to Gillingham on Saturday.
