Leeds United have invited Julian Gray to join their pre-season training on Wednesday.
Leeds boss Peter Reid is keen for Gray to replace the hole left by Harry Kewell, who is poised to join Liverpool this week.
The 23 year old has refused to sign another contract with the Eagles and is now free to negotiate with other clubs.
If Leeds were to make an firm offer for Gray, they would have to pay a nominal fee for his services, due to the fact that Gray is too young to fall under the "Bosman category".
Gray has impressed on a number of occasions last season, notibly against Liverpool in the Worthington Cup Fourth Round when he scored one of Palace's two goals in a famous 2-0 victory at Anfield.
Palace fans have recently questioned the Lewisham born winger's attitude on and off the pitch, and his constant ability to wimp out of 50-50 challenges. It will be interesting to see how he performs in the Premiership.
