Birmingham City revealed that talks with Crystal Palace over the transfer of Clinton Morrison have broken down.

Birmingham and Palace have been negotiating a deal for weeks, but the two parties' valuation of the player were too far apart.

Blues' managing director Karren Brady told the official website: "The talks have broken down and we will now turn our attentions to the Polish international Emmanuel Olisadebe."

Olisadebe is expected to sign from Panathanikos for around £4m.

Hopefully the matter has ended and Morrison can now concentrate on scoring goals for Crystal Palace for next season.
