Gregg Berhalter may leave Palace for Greek club Iraklis within the week.
Berhalter impressed in the two matches he played during the World Cup for USA, however he has remained on the transfer list after Trevor Francis stated that he would still not fit into his plans for the coming season.
According to planetfootball.com, Iraklis are thought to have agreed an undisclosed fee for Berhalter and he is expected to fly to Thessaloniki, Greece in the next few days to discuss personal terms.
The defender wouldn’t have any problems getting a work permit as he holds a European passport.
