Many Palace fans have witnessed some hilarious incidents while at Selhurst Park. Here is a selection...

This has to be when we played a pre-season friendly against Calais back in the summer of 1983 or 84. Obviously there was a load of us over there on a beano and to watch Palace to boot. But near the end of the game, one of our supporters decided it would be hilarious to tie the Calais goalkeeper to the goal post with a Union Jack.
I've seen a lot watching this club for 30 years but to me, seeing the French 'keeper helpless was so funny.

You know those sponsor boards and the the bottom of the holmesdale upper? Well, one time I went to Palace, me and my mate were sitting in the lower tier and when the players came out. I think it was Jamie Pollock kick a ball in the crowd and it hit the sponsor board, came back and hit this kid in the back and throw him three rows forward. It was so funny. The kid was alright before anyway asks.

The funniest thing I've seen, was back in 1990 at home to QPR (they were in that horrible orange kit). Andy Thorn played a long ball from well inside our own half, and it hit the ref on the head. He was already bending over for some reason, then Brighty 'playfully' booted the ref.

Seeing me and my brother on the telly being thrown by two coppers onto the Brighton team coach! That was in the Bloye and Allison days just before Xmas 1980! Can't remember exactly what year. I'll have to ask me mum coz her and dad had to rescue us!!

Back in the 1996/97 season when we were playing Liverpool at home, Jamie Redknapp had just started going out with Louise and was running over to take a corner, when suddenly the whole of the Holmesdale bust into song: "Does she take it up the @rse...?!"
Jamie to his credit found it quite amusing and gave us all a little wink, the dirty boy!!!

Fulham at home in 2001. Me and HazzaCPFC were in the Whitehorse Stand eating our half-time hot dogs when his onions slipped off and into the woman in front's hood. We thought nothing of it until it stared raining on our way home! (ok maybe its not that funny!).

Reading away - late 90s, I think we won 2-0. On the way out everybody started singing 'Are you Dowie in disguise?' at the rather unattractive female steward standing just by the corner flag. I'm sure everybody was laughing as they were singing and pointing at her, though I don't think she knew what it was all about.

Does anyone remember Barry Venison falling over in ungainly fashion during the mighty 4-3 cup semi-final 1990 at Villa Park?
And better still, does anyone remember him being a good sport by re-enacting the fall (in Phoenix from the flames style) after we won the First Div Championship at Ayresome Park - and he had been commentating. We got locked in at the end, and he was making his way across the pitch when he was reminded tactfully of his fall - leading him to sprawl on the pitch again.
Also - can't remember what match this was - but a home match around 1989. It was rubbish. The ball ballooned into the stand, hovered in the air and then landed on the head of a bald man in front of us! Someone said "It had to be him!"
The same person thought the match was like no-rules football at school and that playing the advantage with Alex Dyer was not an advantage at all. Listening to him was better than the match!
After Palace played Hartlepool (God that still hurts), we followed a young couple who were swinging a kid between them and smacked him straight into a bollard!
