I hope and pray that the lad who was attacked makes a full and swift recovery. His assailant should be placed behind bars, the door slammed shut and the keys thrown away. Not only did he commit a heinous crime his actions terrified fellow passengers including children. What an awful experience for them.

My word, those were the days of the chat-up lines, in this modern era you meet on Dating Sites. I recall the 'Single Separates Clubs' where unattached men and women ventured hopefully to meet those with whom they wanted to strike up a friendship. To set the record straight,I was not a member of any such club. I know, strange times, my mrs just came up to me and said “do you wanna dance with me or what?”

There was a folk club at the Three Tuns, the Beckenham Arts Lab, where David Bowie played a few gigs. God be with the days of a nice entertaining Bowie at Beckenham. And not a thread about a d1.ckhead weilding an 18 inch Bowie knife.
