Dele Adebola gave the home side the perfect start after six minutes when he drilled home a left foot shot in the box into the bottom left corner from Tommy Black's pass.
Norwich showed brief signs of coming back - Alex Kolinko saved a shot from Mark Rivers. But on 13 minutes, Palace doubled their advantage with a goal from the in-form Tommy Black.
Wingback Danny Granville flighted a typical pin-point cross from the left hand side which Black got his head to at the far post from close range to score.
Kolinko was in good form to save twice from Clint Easton a few minutes before the half-time whistle.
In the second half, Black forced Robert Green into a good save and Norwich made some substitutions to have three up front but they could not get past the solid Eagles backline.
