The Eagles failed to score for the third game running as they drew 0-0 against Burnley at Turf Moor.
It was a big relief for the Clarets as they earned their first point of the season as they had lost all their previous games.

The first half was a dull affair as both defences were on top but Palace had the best of the chances after former Eagle Gareth Taylor fired over for Burnley after just 14 seconds.
Dougie Freedman's short-range effort was saved by keeper Nik Michopoulos on 10 minutes and an Andy Johnson header from Danny Granville's free-kick was saved by the Greek.
On the half hour mark, Dele Adebola shot wide and Palace went into the break knowing they should have been at least a goal up.
Burnley improved during the second half but did not force Matt Clarke into any saves.
Clarke's first save came from Taylor in the 57th minute before Dimi Papadopoulos had an effort wide of the goal.
Clarke went off injured in the 70th minute with a knee injury to be replaced by bruised-nosed Alex Kolinko, who had little to do in the remaining minutes.
Hayden Mullins could have got a last-ditch winner for Palace but his volley went straight to Michopoulos.
