Jailed farmer Tony Martin has had his application for early release rejected by the parole board. Martin is being held at Highpoint Prison, near Haverhill, Suffolk, where he is serving a five-year sentence for the manslaughter of a 16-year-old burglar. He is due to be released in July when he will have served two-thirds of the sentence. fraid not! a few years for taking a young mans life? not as if the 16 year old was trying to kill him was it? self defence? i'm not sure of the details but i don't think robbing is punishable by death is it? sh1t, i'd have been shot by boots when i was 13!!

No, that's right, you're not, so button it until you are! Perhaps you could enlighten us, Pete, as to why this murder was justified, whereas (say) the death caused by Satpal Ram wasn't.

If someone broke into my home I would do what ever I could to get rid of them. If they hadn't been breaking the law in the first place he wouldn't have fired his gun. My personal opinion is, if you are somewhere you shouldn't be then you have to face the consequences.

Indeed Bexter, indeed. It seems the slavering tabloid fever has hit HOL once again.
