Whats your reasons for supporting palace, and when did you start? i started at about 6, but become really passionate about it when i was 9, started supporting them for several reasons! 1) liked the kit and then all my mates, and i mean every single one of them dumped palace for chelsea when we were relegated in 1995, and i stuck with them, including all the stick i got for it but at least i can watch palace instead of all those armchair dis-loyal armchair supporter b*stards! (still quite a touchy subject! :P)

Started supporting palace when i was 8/9....'75/'76.........me old man use to go with his mates from the Spread Eagle, the Signal and the Beehive in south Norwood, and one time they went to a game v willmall and they took me and that was that i started to go with them even if me old man didnt. Plus i only lived on the new estate on long lane,Addiscomb so it just seemed natural to support the local team. As far as i know most of me old school mates from Monks orchard, shirley high and John Ruskin supported palace aswell. Dont know if any of them still get to the games or not,but i would think most of them turned up for the weed game.

Well because my dad supported them, I suppose I had know choice but to follow them aswell. Been supporting then since I could talk, my dad said my first word was Palace, i dont remember saying it, it was either he was very very drunk or some where along the line he was hearing things. I remember my first game, kinda anyway the old holmesdale, my dad having me on his shoulders going through the gate. During the game i remember my dad knocking some O/B's helmet off his head when we scored, also i remember saying to my dad i'm cold can we go home this was during the 2nd half, and we went home, god bless him i doubt it if he would take me home now, hed say fcuk it go home yourself, i'm not missing the game you cnut, that would be his excact words. Palace since i was born, Palace till i die.

Me step-dad always supported them and they're my local team so it just seemed right. Went to my first game about 7 years ago. Can't remember who it was but we won 3-1 and that was it. Never looked back.

A combination of reasons as to why I support Crystal Palace. When i was starting to get into football, Crystal Palace were getting excellent coverage on TV in our First Division Championship winning year under Alan Smith (Endsleigh Sunday Football) Additionally they are my local club, so it was not of the question for me to be able to see them. I just think there is something special about Crystal Palace. Can't really put my finger on it though!

My Dad and my Uncle went to the Liverpool Semi 4-3 back in 1990. But you know what makes palace so special over other teams? We're not an arsenal or a man utd;where its a case of what cup are we gonna win this year.Nor are we a Millwall a crewe where we treat just playing in the first or second division a success.
