I was just looking at the journey, no trains to Norwood Junction on Sunday but will be to Selhurst ( at least from Caterham / Whyteleafe)

I feel your pain RD, if I drive poxy road works, traffic and/or smashes on the motorway, if I get the train up there’s either engineering works, delays, cancellations or strikes, it’s a struggle going anywhere these days

The quality of work by companies working for Network Rail is so poor that engineering work is now more frequent than ever. Weekend work means half a day setting up, one day work and half a day clearing up. Jobs are never completed. Add to that staff shortages at Govia companies’ Southern, Thameslink and the “rip off” Gatwick Express cause frequent cancellations because they refuse to hire additional workers for emergencies. Govia is conglomerate made up of Australian, French and Spanish owners. Time for renationalisation?

….and this is one of the main reasons I gave up my season ticket after 28 years. That and feckin 20:00 hrs Monday kick-offs.( with pathetic transport links) Equally frustrated of Horsham
I got vision, and the rest of the world wears bifocals. |

I gave up travelling by train 3 years ago. Got so ridiculous with the queues at the stations and last minute cancellations. I drive now, so no drinking and pay to park relatively close to the ground. Not ideal as can take over an hour.
