He still pops up with a great goal or an assist once in a while and seems well-liked but if we want to progress we need better than Schlupp. He can't pass, he goes missing and despite his pace he rarely seems to want to use it, especially when defending. I imagine he'd quite like the idea of another league winner's medal and would probably get a few goals up north of the border.

Exactly, in other words a squad player as he is not consistent enough to hold down a first team place. He has been a decent servant for the club and if he wants to drop down a level but still win trophies at his age why not and good luck to him. That said I would be happy to keep him.
