Did racism play a part? Would the situation have been handled differently by the police if the whole incident involved white people? The lawyer for those charged saying on TV nothing happened prior to the fighting on the circulated videos. He is also saying the family member who is a GMP officer is terrified to go to work because he has been threatened with being killed by other officers, this incendiary stuff from a lawyer is absurd Whatever the answer to that, mobs on streets threatening violence is never acceptable under any circumstance. Now we have posters with Gaza, BLM and who knows what. JSO will have fewer to contribute as they are losing numbers as more get banged up which is good. * typo in title, should be scenes

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Where are British mobs on the streets demonstrating against the mass immigration that is wrecking this country? Seems like the cultural enhancers think it's OK to riot over just about anything.

Has been pointed out, quite correctly, when the main melee is going on, there is a guy sitting on some yellow seats with his hands behind his head. The kicking policeman goes over to him and orders him to kneel, he does so with his hands still behind his head and gets a kick in the stomach. Looks like the kicking police officer is toast and will be lucky to stay out of jail, looks like he lost his head.

Unless you have been in this situation, its easy for keyboard warriors / social media to give an opinion as there would be more going on then just whats on the video. It does look like the officer had the red mist though, regardless of the situation its not a good look to give a bloke restrained on the floor a good shoeing even though you want to, especially with people filming it.

There is no excuse for the kicking and stamping. To pretend otherwise would be Wisbechian.

It continues to amaze me how people do dreadful things with cameras filming them. That was appalling whatever the motivation, for a police officer to behave like that. Really he should face criminal charges.

People are fallible and if the red mist descended then it's very unfortunate for him. It's situational pressure of the kind very few ever experience. Who would be a police officer these days? Edited by HKOwen (26 Jul 2024 10.42am)

I agree, but as normal we are only seeing the result of the altercation not what led up to it. Hopefully the airport's own CCTV will have captured the earlier part of the story to aid with the decision making process.

The World gone mad ? the small village of Dundrum, Co Tipperary. Now facing the reality of Asylum seekers outnumbering villagers by 2 to 1. And it seems to be now happening everywhere. The Arab Spring was triggered by a single fruit street-trader having their cart upended by the cops. 250 million people affected.

I certainly am, and make no apologies for it. The juxtaposition of a female police officer and a dangerous risky working environment was always a bad idea. Without defending the head kicker, a question.....how would you react if a man broke the nose of , say, your sister ?
