Called it a few days ago, the whole COVID thing was too convenient considering his previous comments that he would step down if he got sick.

Well I never, one of WE's predictions has come good.

Man, did he fight it though.

Been a fair amount of chatter out there about maybe Hillary Clinton standing instead. Now I give it zero credence but it would be larks!

His handlers last two messages on X.

Clearly forced out by his own party.

Clinton would be hilarious & I'd love to see that evil witch beaten again.

I’m not convinced it was ‘him’.

I don’t think he’s ever had much of an idea as to what’s been going on. The phrase ‘stool pigeon’ comes to mind.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I wonder why tho? All those videos of him were deepfake and poorly edited clips? (Note the sarcasm)

Biden did a reasonable job post COVID in the US, but clearly his health has been failing. His decision to step down was the right thing to do for his own sake, and for the sake of the West in general. His recent introduction of Zelensky as Mr Putin seemed to me a clear sign of his poor capacity to think clearly.

Unfortunately this gives Trump a clear run now. What the heck is happening.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

It looks like the men in 'gay suits' finally did for him.

The Democrats being as woke as they are will surely have to back Harris now? The optics of turfing out a black woman in favour of someone else is not a good look for them.

Biden endorsing Harris doesn’t necessarily mean she will become the candidate although it seems very likely as it’s only him who can direct the electors to vote for someone else.

Can she beat Trump? It will require a very strong performance in the coming months but she does have some big advantages over both Biden and Trump.

Firstly, she isn’t either, so those not impressed by either now have an alternative. She is younger, fresher, a woman and of colour. She has kept a relatively low profile but has good recognition.

She should carry all Biden voters for if they were still sticking with him they are highly unlikely to defect to Trump now. Trump is on the crest of a wave at the moment, but waves tend to break and you can then get dumped on the sand.

It looks improbable but it’s very much doable. Let’s see what the next few weeks turn up.
