Palace and Five England managers!

It occurred to to me that over recent years there has been Five England managers who have had a strong connection with us:

Terry Venables
Peter Taylor
Roy Hodgson
Sam Allardyce
Gareth Southgate.

Has anyother Club had so many associations and What is it about Palace that has this distinction?

Some years ago, we took over the title of 'The Academy' from West Ham.

When Alan Pardew took us to 5th just before Christmas, his name was mentioned as possible England manager……..our league form after Christmas soon put that to bed
