Personally I cant see why we'd want him, so maybe just an agent trying his luck?

It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog.

Archie Griffen

Hating Brighton since 1974

He always looked poor at the back for spurs, a serious weak spot, I’ll refrain from calling him a donkey though incase we do sign him

Kindly refrain from being unkind to donkeys !

Sanchez actually played as a central midfielder when he was a teenager in Colombia.

Perhaps 5 or 6 years ago some scouts were of the opinion that he lacked mobility when confronted with pace.

Having watched him play multiple times for Colombia I’ve been impressed. Looks comfortable on the ball and aggressive in the tackle. He has been up against world class attackers (such as Nunez, Messi, Vini Jnr etc) and more than held his own.

Exceptional pace to cover Anderson so I. for one would be happy to proceed at the right price! Ok the flip side it’s not going to upset me if it doesn’t happen!

Apart from the ‘aggressive in the tackle’ part, It sounds like you’re describing a different player to the one that ‘graced’ the premier league

I thought pace was his main attribute. I kinda recall when Spurs signed him from Ajax that he was said to be quite quick.

He did look good for Colombia - as did Lerma and Munoz - but it is always dangerous to buy players on the back of a successful tournament.
James Rodriguez was player of the tournament and has always looked much better for his country than club

His performances were certainly a step up from his error riddled Spurs days. I thought his pace was his only asset but he did show composure alongside Munoz and was a pleasant surprise to me!

Or Parish after being informed that the Copa America will take place during PL season each year from now on.

No thanks! Bad enough losing too many of our top players to African Cup of Nations
during PL season.

It's a no. We don't need to buy players who failed to make the grade at Spurs or Arsenal.
