Guehi was the only England player to make it. Spain had no fewer than 6 which shows just how far ahead they were than every other team.

The club website has now picked this up:

Well if he’s going this can only help boost the transfer fee. To mind nothing less than £75m

To my mind Guehi was not at his best in the Final, however over the course of the tournament he was lauded for his contributions and his performances have been reflected in his selection for the team of Euro 2024.Jolly well done.

Personally, I do not envisage seeing Guehi wearing the shirt he has filled with distinction.

I think that's fair, although to be fair to him, the England defensive midfield effort was poor and that left him over-exposed a number of times.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

MC had a good tournament, however, for the winning goal i definitely feel he could have done better. Whilst the defence was stretched the scorer received the ball 25 yards out and passed it to the left. Guehi was close to him but seemed to let him then run ahead of him to receive the pass and score. Surely he needed to keep goal side of the run and if he had done so it would have prevented the goal.

Easy to say in hindsight but that's the difference between a good and an excellent defender

I'd say Mark is up near the top of the bracket for tidy, intelligent, good footballing defenders.

Where I say he falls short is the body on the line, hardcore, defensive supremo mould. If he were a couple inches taller perhaps and you could describe him as 'a warrior' he'd be world class. There were a few moments in the tournament where you felt a bit more aggression or assertion from him could have prevented goals, including the winner and I've never seen it as a weakness but equally do not see him as aerially dominant.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Our scouts watched Guehi playing 19 games for Swansea before we signed him. They reported that his decision-making was his greatest attribute, in fact one reported that the player never takes the wrong option.

He certainly possesses a calm nature whilst in possession of the ball. His trademark whilst at Swansea was making positive runs forward with the ball.He is known as a player who is accomplished with his feet and he does have impressive recovery speed.

Guehi had a decent tournament and did what defenders are supposed to do.
However, I wouldn't say that he was outstanding.
Personally I felt Laporte should have been the choice for the tournament's outstanding left sided central defender.
Dominant in the air, confident in possession and very effective defending his penalty area.

Second that! While he had a very good Euro 24, his nitty-gritty defending is a bit suspicious. He made himself playable, but mostly played safe passes and when confronted, showed some weakness (winning goal in final). If we are to sell one more of our superstars, I would not mind if MG leaves as long as we keep Eze, Wharton and Mateta.

Shame he wasn't in UEFA's team, Walker was.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Sadly the only good from it will be his value when he leaves .

Wasn't great, should have been 1st to the ball for the winner,
