Reading the article, before the 2024 Euros can anyone remember the last time 2 Palace players were in the England team?

EDITED

Apologies for not making it clear, meant when were 2 Palace players in the England team for a match.

For anybody who doubted Southgate's ability to be tactically innovative, he played Eze as left wing back for a spell.
Bizarre and could have cost England.
I know Roy encouraged Eze to develop a defensive side to his game, but Southgate seems to take it one step further.

He actually did a pretty good job, particularly when covering the guy at the far post for the volley. And both he and Guehi each involved in a goal. Maybe with Southgate's acumen he will move Rice back to partner Stones in defence, in Guehi's absence, and finally give Wharton a chance

In short, Southgate is a cock. Why bring Ivan Toney on for 2 minutes of stoppage time. Worse than Roy.

I think Gareth, the tactical mastermind, has solved our problem of left back cover next season. It appears Ebs is more than capable... Who knew?

Wasn’t there 4 way back; Nigel Martyn, John Salako, and two others - Ian Wright, Geoff Thomas maybe or even Southgate? My memory is sketchy!

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

I think the OP may be referring to Palace players actually playing in the same tournament match

Seeing Ebs back there almost gave me a heart attack, and I'm American. His defensive instinct is to float in the widest possible gaps, engaging or even threatening to engage only when someone dribbles directly at him.

To be fair, he has played more energetic defense for Palace under Glasner, both because he's in his proper position and because Glasner has had more time than Southgate to drill structure into the squad.

When asking a question, it's always good to be clear about what you are actually asking, and the OP certainly wasn't.

Southgate hinted that Toney told him that. Of course he had the last laugh.
