He's been a bit unlucky in my opinion. Was starting striker doing pretty well, then got injured. Mateta came in and scored a shed load of goals, and if he stays would be behind Mateta

Decent player but is not PL standard. I think he would do well in Spain.

Another turn of the rumour mill, if he does go it'll leave us seriously short of strikers, just one in fact!

In fairness. His goals in the first part of the season were crucial for us. Without them we would have been even worse off before glasner came in.

Not without shelling out quite a bit. PL quality goal scorers are very hard to get. It's one position where the Championship doesn't necessarily provide a cheapish option.

For all his apparent laziness at times, Edouard does know where the goal is. However, I doubt he fits Glasner's system especially when it comes to pressing the opposition.

If we end up keeping OE, either by choice or lack of acceptable bid(s) from other clubs I would imagine he will have a very interesting pre season, possibly working consistently harder than he has had to for a while, once that hard graft is showing dividends we may actually decide that we want to keep him.

We were 3 points away from Premier League survival.

Yes that's my point? He did get a few winners or equalisers in tight games. It kept us afloat before mateta and glasner took over.

OK but you said we would have been "even worse off" without him. That means you thought we were in a bad position.

We should have 3 strikers in our squad, if he wasn't on big wages then he wouldn't be a bad 3rd choice striker, I'd rather sell him, get Nketiah in, who offers something different and competition to mateta, then look for a young striker with potential, who won't demand big wages.

Yes we were in a bad position were we not? So without him we would have been even worse off without him? So without his goals we would have been in relegation zone? And who knows what would have happened? No glasner? Kept Roy till the end?
