That's fantastic. I know it's the preliminary squad but great news!

just posted this on another thread.... quite incredible:
.
.
Crystal Palace outnumber Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United
The Eagles have the join-most representatives in the England squad along with Liverpool and Manchester City.

At the other end, Tottenham have only provided one player — the lowest of the Premier League's 'Big Six'.

Crystal Palace: 4
Liverpool: 4
Manchester City: 4
Arsenal: 3
Manchester United: 3
Aston Villa: 2
Chelsea: 2
Everton: 2
Newcastle: 2
Bayern Munich: 1
Brentford: 1
Brighton: 1
Burnley: 1
Real Madrid: 1
Tottenham: 1
West Ham: 1

So, considering 7 of 33 will miss out, who are likely to be those missing out.
Goalkeepers, Trafford?
Defenders, Shaw,Dunk,Quansah?
Midfield, Wharton,(hopefully not)?
Forwards: Eze, (noooo)!, Gordon?
Hopefully Eze and Wharton will do enough before the cut-off to make their claim.

Wharton looks like the only real option as a proper defensive midfielder other than Rice? He's far better than Curtis Jones and Mainoo has seen his form dip of late. What a meteoric rise that would be if he went to the Euros.

It does though send a message to every rising young player in the Championship. Make a move to Palace and get picked for your country.

For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

Big laugh from me.

Wisbech makes a very good point though and I think our attraction to up and comers from elsewhere is a focal point of the business plan.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
