I don't know about anyone else on here but my attitude is to be totally sceptical about transfer speculation, in or out, until I see it on CPFC.co.uk. But I thought this article was quite balanced (and amusing) in case you've not read it. Bottom line is us or City if he's wise, which I think he seems to be. Villa have a place for him but will they continue to be Champions League? I think him and Ebs will stay for next year as everyone is having so much fun.

It's going to be like Zaha every transfer window. Hopefully not unsettling to all involved.

I'm not too worried. We seem to be building a team where we don't rely on just one individual as we did with Zaha for so long. It's more important to keep Glasner and prepare for his eventual leaving by having a sound replacement who can pick up where he left off. These last few weeks I've gone into games expecting a win in each game and never experienced that before. We have to keep the winning mentality.

Really? A thread just for this? Olise will either stay or go, and every clickbait site on the planet will be telling us he is going, right up until the point where he doesn't. Then they will make a 'shock' story out of that. How many Summers have to go by before we learn not to believe internet nonsense? If Ornstein or Romano says something about it, then maybe it's credible.

Romano has said that both will leave this summer, but he gets plenty wrong and isn't the wise Gandolf that everyone holds him up to be!

Well , im not getting my fingerprints on this on . When all the press had him sold to Chelsea i slated the shivt out of him unfairly and he signed a new contract for us . All im going to say is , i love seeing him in a Palace shirt , i dont think he will be adored like that anywhere else , give him another 50-100k per week and remove the buyout clause if there is one . Enjoy him tearing up selhurst Park and scoring wonderfull goals and enjoy it while you can.

No players are bigger than the club, but yes - keeping our diamond duo Oleze would make this summer's transfer window a huge success.

Good thread. We all ‘know’ Olise ‘must’ go to a bigger club but when you look at which club that would be, the move looks far from certain and as the article concludes, staying at Palace is a big contender in the race to sign Olise. Add to this that Freedman is putting together a team that could be competing for a European place next season then the chances of Olise, Eze and Guehi all staying are much much higher than we would instinctively feel. The key to this though is Freedman - he is the person we really need to keep. Edited by maddog (12 May 2024 9.01am)

He is more reliable than the endless twaddle you get served up on a daily basis, but circumstances change in an instant and only the players involved really know what they are thinking.

I think Olise would move to City, but probably not anyone else. With City, you are practically guaranteed to win the league. He's not to dissimilar in Marhez in playing style. Who wasn't replaced.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
