Palace will be in Maryland & Florida for 2 games in July/Aug . . . [Link]

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

I'm going to try to get to the game in Tampa.

Seen a few games there down the years including seeing our own Jefferson Lerma playing for Colombia.

Flights however are not cheap

I'm looking at this one as well. Norse Airways from Gatwick to Orlando on the Friday return £645 just need a hotel, 4 nights. Tampa is v close tho traffic can be a nightmare.

We are still pushing that US market. Do we have any presence there? Is it working?

I get the feeling that premier league are pushing it aswell as us.

They would love that elusive 39th game over there.

Yeah 90 mins down the I-4.

Tampa is a much nicer airport to fly to and from.

Accomodation isn't too bad actually - gonna be warm !

Go for it lads.
I used to get down Tampa. Loved it all round there. Went to a few baseball games around St. Pete's. Loved the steamers served in so many bars with a big jug of ice cold Bud.
Used to swim out and about where the Manatees were. Great days.

If anyone gets over to the Annapolis game in Maryland they should take a short detour and visit Fells Point in Baltimore. Great bars and restaurants in the old port area. I mean hundreds of them and they are old. Original cobbled streets as well. Totally authentic. I worked there as a young man in 1988 and with my English accent cleaned up if you know what I mean.

If you can, also buy tickets to watch the Oriels play baseball at Camden Yards which is close by. Not everyone’s cuppa but I enjoyed it, especially the guys walking around with slabs of cold beer on their shoulders and selling it to you in your seat.
