This isn’t a dig at Roy or any predecessors but this just about sums up the whole ‘Glasner effect’ for me.

Regardless of whether the goals come or not, the way he sets up the team and the way they play now inspires the hope that we are able to compete in every minute of every match. Nothing feels like a ‘write off’ or ‘no hoper’ now whereas previously anything unexpected felt like a miracle.

The team looks purposeful and beholding of belief in itself, regardless of which players are or aren’t playing. That’s all I ever really wanted as a Palace fan was to watch our team compete throughout the season and have some ambition/belief as opposed to everything feeling like a nerve racking battle against the odds.

I’m not saying it will last forever but that yearning I had, which I’m guessing many others did too, of seeing progression not as some ludicrous pipe dream or fairytale but actually something very possible is quite a wonderful albeit alien experience.

Well said mate, it’s so nice to see us not sitting back watching the other team pass it around and eventually create chances, it was like we’d lost our competitive edge, sometimes games were embarrassingly one sided against even average beatable teams. Like you, all I want is to see us have a go, tackle and compete on the front foot in games, if that ends in defeat then I can accept that, but to basically park the bus and still end up losing was so depressing to watch.
Roy did a job for us for a few years and I loved the bloke because he was a gent and one of our own, but his time was done three years ago and there’s only so much of that you can take, especially when it’s not actually working anymore
I didn’t see any difference in the first few games under Ollie, but the transformation now is incredible, like watching a different team
