yes, I'm Overreacting, and am way overdue my meds, but If we can continue our current form, how high in the table can we get?

the teams immediately above us all have tricky fixtures left, which could play into out hands, It's not out of the realms of possibility that if we could get to 48 points - which admittedly is quite an optimistic 4 wins from our last 5 games - all against beatable teams, however, then we could scrape top half and with the help of Brentford needing to beat Bournemouth and Fulham, these guys are reachable.

also means we finish above Brighton, and what a result that would be!

Who cares, as long as we stay up.

What matters is keeping this squad together and pushing on next season.
We have to be a club that players want to stay at. A top ten squad with competitive wages, a good manager and progressive transfer policy.

Playing for the top clubs is very overrated nowadays.

Most players would prefer to be in a team with a chance of winning stuff. We have had a few good games but let's be honest if you were Ebbs or Olise you would probably think about the many rubbish games as well.

Right now the sun is shinning and it's great but all it takes is Glasner to walk away and someone else to get a Doucoure injury and we are back to square 1. Fine margins and all that.

Agreed, the way to keep a squad together is to be successful.

I just want to see a strong end to the season - we're now almost certain to stay up. keep everyone happy and enjoying the football, mix in some success and we could be onto something.

The teams coming up will be stronger than those relegated (maybe Ipswich aside) and therefore it will be harder.
I think a top ten finish - even 10th will be a big ask.The top 6/7 are spoken for and that without the spending power of Villa and West Ham.
Whilst I accept Glasner will make us more professional and comfortable 11th or 12th would be realistic.

We got 7 points in the reverse fixtures so I see that as the minimum we will get in the remaining games. However, if we add in the Glasner factor, I think we could get as many as 10 more points (giving us 46). We would probably still be in 14th place unless one or more of the teams currently on 42/43 points have a horror finish to the season.
