I can actually see Luton with their outstanding fixtures adding around 10 points to their tally. With the points deductions for Forest and Everton unclear I'd say 35-36 should do it. Not at all sure just the one win will do it though you may be right.

Goal difference could be worth an extra point for some in the bottom 6

I think 6 points should be enough - but as others have pointed out let's be mathematically safe and then relax. I can't help but remember Leicester with Pearson. Shame we don't have the gutsy mentality and wouldn't replicate that. But look at Luton and Forest - particularly Luton could do anything.

I think you have just walked out of a wacky backy bar in Amsterdam if you think Luton are going to get 10 or 11 points from their last 5 games . I think they will be lucky to get 31 points Originally posted by DutchEagleJohan

I think as long as the Everton / Forest points deductions saga rambles on without conclusion(s) it can only add to the Luton hope / encouragement mentality to keep going "at it" as hard as possible. Originally posted by stancummins

OK lets prick this large balloon that Luton are in the form of their lives their last 10 league games (which will cover the period when Everton got their first points deduction They are currently bottom of the form table and in those games they have chucked away a three goal lead at Bornemouth and also lost at home to Sheff Utd. I think i am being generous giving them 6 points to get to 31 Originally posted by Dubai Eagle

i reckon any team with 33 points ( and a decent Goal Difference) will stay up. Or 34 points and a sh1.tty GD. Brentford were celebrating like buffoons yesterday on achieving 32 points. Brentford & Everton will almost certainly survive. Forest & Luton are both strong on the pitch, but have much catch-up work to do. We are like a fella trying to finish the last hundred yards of the Tour de France with a broken bicycle. Edited by PalazioVecchio (14 Apr 2024 11.09am)

I reckon 1 more than 3 teams below us.

IMO, Everton will have a big shout as to who goes down. They have to play both Luton and Forest. That only leaves 4 games for each of them. I have 32 as down so 33 safe.
