Looks like Arsenal want to sell for £20m. I think that's pretty good. He's still only 26 and would fit well into Glasners system (and an upgrade on Mitchell). Can you imagine both him and Munoz as our wingbacks - would be great to watch.

If they do want to sell for cheap then there's a reason. Look at Holding.

Great player and a brilliant fit for the system, but his injury record is a big concern. I'd imagine that's a big part of why Arsenal are moving him on, moreso than ability or performances.

Also there are rumours we are still after Lewis Hall - a better long term option IMO.

I tend to agree - injuries are the concern. Frankly, should be a lot less than 20 mil. Isn't Lewis-Hall around 20 mil? Tierney is probably the better player but isn't worth anything at all if injured all the time. Lewis-Hall is probably already good enough for us but could get better. I wouldn't really see Tierney as improving - more unfortunately he's usually recovering from his last serious injury. I can't remember what his original issue was - something like hip or back.

I think Newcastle are due to pay £35m or something ridiculous for Hall to be fair. I have to say currently I think Tierney is miles clear between the two, but that’s comparing an experienced pro with a kid - with Hall you are paying for the potential more than anything, I think Tierney comes in and makes us a better team immediately (assuming he’s fit!).

Tierney has played in over 200 games, Hall has only featured in less than 20 games.

Maybe he could come in cheap, be injury free and be excellent but that seems more hope than expectation. Just checked his stats this season. Already missed 9 out of 28 games due to injury. Completed 90 minutes only 3 times! As others have said if fit he'd be perfect for the new system but I don't think it's worth the risk considering fee, wages and likely continued injuries.
