After the debacle of Paul Tierney's howler at Forest y/day, it seems Forest have employed Mark Clattenburg as their very own personnel Referee's Analyst. Do we have one? Do any other clubs have them? What 'power' do they hold, if any? Thoughts/comments.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

I see he tried to gain access to the Referees room after the match.

The C word is nothing but a publicity seeker else why do that stupid TV show.

I hope the authorities make it clear to him that on match day he should not be anywhere near the officials.

Mark is a 'Match and Performance Analyst' at Nottm Forest.

He assists in the understanding of how and why certain decisions are made, prepares pre-match packs on the officiating teams taking charge of their fixtures, and one of his other main aims is improving the relationship between Nottm Forest and the PGMOL.

I understand that similar appointments have been made at clubs abroad.

And that is fine as far as that goes, players need to understand the rules and what they will be penalised on.

However it is not fine on match day for a former referee to attempt to talk to the officials. He has no role on match day and should be nowhere near the officials and he knows that.

Wasn’t he the tw@t who arguably cost us the FA cup final against United for inexplicably not allowing us an advantage where we scored. He then pulls it back to give us a free-kick.

After posing for photos in the tunnel before the game with his hero Alex Ferguson. Ferguson is grinning like a Cheshire cat and why wouldn't he.

I have responded to this many years ago and I am not minded to rake over old ground.I suspect another 'Willo Thread' would not be in the interests of HOL.

Yes Clattenf*ck is. As well as a prize Tosspot official on Gladiators which is more suitable for him.
I assume he has been given a matching crash helmet and flack jacket for away travel by Nottingham Forest if Forest survive this season and he intends to visit Selhurst Park anytime soon.
Never officiated a game at Selhurst since that cup final cock-up!

I would imagine that in his position at Forest one of his duties would also be to comment pre game on the chosen match officials so the team have a heads up on the way that they referee, the things the referee maybe hotter on / the things they let slide etc

An arrogant t*** who has no right trying to gain access to the referee post-match. This is the bloke who refused our manager access to his room after Dawson’s assault on Speroni as “ he was going to an Ed Sheeran concert”. Hopefully will backfire big time and Forest get f all in way of decisions

There was never anything to rake over. The man behaved disgracefully. Nothing more to say.
