Ray normally follows Roy in whatever the next move is , I can't see him staying on .

I can envisage Ray and Paddy staying on until the end of the season. Of course we don't know what has been agreed with Glasner.

I do not envisage Ray Lewington remaining at the club as he is very much part of 'Team Hodgson', but I would not be surprised if Paddy McCarthy was retained. Edited by Willo (20 Feb 2024 8.41am)

Rumour has it that Emanuel Pogatetz is part of his staff. Played for Boro and Westham, albeit a few years ago.

I recall Pogatetz as a player, Steve McLaren signed him for Middlesbrough and Sam Allardyce signed him on Loan for W.Ham.In fact Pogatetz was at W.Ham at the same time as James Tomkins.

OG will also probably want someone who can quickly implement his methods and systems.

Ray will go, I would imagine. Roy talked about persuading Ray to stay on after he signed a new deal so I don't think he'll be here for long. I think Paddy might still be around, although possibly as first-team coach rather than as assistant. He gave an audition last night that he can get the team playing with a bit more energy. Plus changing the whole coaching setup with 13 games remaining is a risk.

Pogatetz has been rumoured for a few days to be coming and another guy who I do not recall the name of. For me it suggests a fresh coaching set up of people that know Glasners methods. Perhaps mccarthy will change roles

According to an article in the Athletic, Glasner is bringing in four people - a fitness specialist and three coaches uncluding Pogatetz who will be "the link between Glasner and the dressing room". If this is true, I don't see Paddy having a role with the 1st team squad.
