You never know what to read into anything but here's something from Alex Howell on the BBC who at least seem adverse to posting anything too speculative: "It's a complicated time at Crystal Palace at the moment. Roy Hodgson was set to be replaced by Oliver Glasner before falling ill at training on Friday. Hodgson is understood to be doing well in his recovery and the club have been focusing on his health. The change was going to be made and the timing of Hodgson falling ill has made it a tricky situation to navigate. He has not been sacked - and assistant manager Paddy McCarthy and first team coach Ray Lewington are expected to lead the Palace team this evening for the match against Everton tonight at Goodison Park. It's a big game for both sides but Palace have started to look over their shoulder after a poor run of form has seen them get dragged closer to the relegation zone. Glasner was pictured at Tottenham at the weekend, a team Palace play in two weeks, so it could be that his appointment will be confirmed once the match tonight is out of the way."
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Id say there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes, Sky Germany says , he is set to take over from Roy and has signed a contract until 2026 . So that prob means he's off to West ham tomorrow.
This could be heaven or this could be hell . |

The picture could become clearer pre match later under the intensity of the Sky coverage.

I am hoping the delay is down to diplomacy. It is obviously a rather awkward and sensitive situation with Roy being in hospital. We don't really know how ill he is but it may be he is in no fit state to address his position with the club. The club would not to want to be seen to be acting crassly by firing the man whilst he is on his sick bed. Consequently, this rather puts the brakes on officially appointing Glasner.
