Conner Gallagher comes to us on loan for a year…a Chelsea player who wasn’t making it in their first team.

You, my friend are a moron. Everything expected. I don't agree with booing him, but that has nothing to do with him scoring.

At least, not from my perch in front of the TV. As far as the booing was concerned, no surprise really and it sounded more like light hearted banter than vicious aggro, oh, and he spells his name with one n.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

I liked Gallagher. But I can't stand the way he and most premier players cheer themselves when they score. Open their mouths wide and start yelling. Nasty self centred pricks. Leave that to the fans. Show some class. All this self adulation is not good. Nasty little loud mouths.

i have seen other players, players with more class....being modest when they score against their old club. Gallagher stomped around like a Brighton fan last night. Like he hated us. All very unsavoury. But hey, that's football. And Chelsea was never a club with any class. Gallagher, from the Irish-Gaelic 'Gall Cabhair'....meaning foreign or imported helper. Usually loaned from one clan to another. Often referring to mercenaries. Or Gallowglasses...the same 'Gall' prefix. The surname hails from Donegal....Dún na nGal...the Fort of the Foreigners. Mercenary by name, and mercenary by nature. Conor seems to be from a long line of fellas who would stab you in the back on the orders of his paymaster. Football, just like military affairs, often comes down to money. Edited by PalazioVecchio (13 Feb 2024 8.57am)

In a recent profile piece he talks about loving his time at Palace and how it was the making of him. I think last night was less about us and more about how poor Chelsea have been and how important that win was to them. I thought he overdid the celebrations and a more modest celebration would have had more class, but there you go.

Never understand booing players that have left. Makes no sense unless they have a pop after going. It always bites teams in the bum as they nearly always score. (Rice).

I thought this thread might be a critique of our managerial, boardroom, recruitment, coaching and medical staff.
