Brilliant as they are I am worried we have a pair of Connor Wickhams on our hands cos they always seem to be injured,

Yep…was thinking exactly the same thing. As amazing as they are, every game I sit there thinking - which one is going to be injured next. Why would any club buy them at the moment? They can’t go longer than a few games without picking up an injury. We should have bought Ross Barkley. He is exactly what we needed in the middle of the park. Lucky Luton!

Yes, they both appear to be fragile and it's a worry to be sure. What's not clear to me is whether their injuries are repetitive, although it seems they may be, which is cause for concern. Whatever the case, is it just that they're susceptible to harsh tackles or do they need to be toughened up? I love watching them play and, goodness knows, we need them, but for more than a few minutes a game. As a contrast, Ayew plays most games for the full 90 minutes, is one of the most tackled players in the Prem, always gets up, carries on and seems indestructible. Our two stars should ask Jordan how he does it.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

We get too many injuries. In any other business there would be an objective review of our medical staff, training regime, and warm ups pre match.

No they are not. Both came back from possible career ending injuries. Both have been bought back too early, when not fully fit to play. It happened to Wilf countless times, but Wilf is clearly built different and his body was able to cope until the last calendar year. EE and MO may not be able to do that, but the manager has a duty of care to his players and if he'd protected them properly we wouldn't be in this mess and I include Guehi in this, cos I believe he's been playing hurt for a few weeks now. seems the football gods are not on our side anymore: Palace website.... "Sadly, however, Rak-Sakyi’s return lasted only 23 minutes, the winger going down and needing to leave the field of play early."

Olise looks like he’s will have 2 months out and Eze a month. Not looking good. We will have to grind out a few points. This could be the season where our luck runs out.

So how many games will Olise actually play this season?? Per minute actually on the pitch he must be a very expensive commodity.
