maybe possible in a : Sport, Science & technology, business.

very unlikely in b : the Public Sector, the media, the Arts.

for b....its probably more important what identity you are, who you know, what flag you wave. Banksy being a good example of BBC approved art.

and when i say 'maybe possible' , you will still get top Premier League bosses promoting their own friends & family to lucrative posts as trainees, agents, scouts, or managers.

Do you honestly believe the fella below was good enough for the youth squad in the biggest team in the World ? or that there was a better option player who never got the invite ?

Meritocracy is a noble ideal and an illusion....often never achieved.
