So, transfer market opens, how many? buys? loans? nothing?

Maybe that chap (Whose name escapes me), will return to HOL,as he does during the 'Transfer Window', to provide us with information that has been divulged to him.

I expect the usual announcement on 1st Feb.

"we tried really hard, but getting deals over the line is exceptionally difficult"

Meanwhile Brentford, Forest, Bournemouth, Wolves, Fulham etc have all strengthen.

Roy is staying, Ayew is off, click-bait will link us with any & everybody which includes managers. Parish will come out with his usual bollox about how close we were, run out of time, gazumped(by spam), etc, etc.

There has been hardly any click-bait around regarding players coming in or out, apart from JRS & Ahamada, going out on loan. As for that bloke who Willo cant name(Dazza), personally, i hope he doesn't come back, nothing that anyone(incl me) can't find on the net. Our dealings are usually kept under wraps.

Apparently The Arse turned down our opening bid for Eddie N.

I expect we asked for him on loan (Arsenal to pay his wages) with a buy clause at the end of the season but only if we wanted him.

I think the big day is actually Jan 31 although I am hearing that Sky have stopped sending their reporters to SP on that day, something about a waste of time?

While many a window has been frustrating, I do still love the fact that our club often manages to keep matters under wraps without press speculation ruining too many good deals.

Two windows stand out as surprising and particularly fruitful.

1) The Pulis January - such great strengthening. Exactly what we needed to survive.

2) The Allardyce January - DITTO.

Let's hope for one of those.

I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry.

Why would he want to sit on our bench?

True, Nkitiah from Arsenal & Matias Soule from Juventus are the only 2 that have been rumbling on & i think there was another young brazilian that Textor wants(allegedly). We 'need' a DM, to cover for Doucoure, but Richards is doing a great job there. RB, Clyne is a whole lot better than Ward. Striker, JPM looks to be coming good & Edouard is now fit. LB, Schlupp & Jairo can & have played there before, tho, i think Schlupp will be used to cover Ayew's absence.

So, who/what do we need?

I suspect the win yesterday has convinced SP that we don’t need anyone, other than perhaps a last day loan. Expect a Arsenal youngster who will be crap. Meanwhile we will loan out Ebiowei and Ahamada and then get 3 players injured on the first game in February.
