I think it is perhaps not so widely known that the old wandering finger is no longer how they check for prostate cancer. One of my friends recently found out too late after complaining of back pain and he's only been given a few years to live. He's not even 60 and has two teenage kids. Hopefully the outlook is brighter for Walsh. And get tested if you are a man and over 50!

Wish him all the very best, he’s caught it early so the outlook is positive. I’m 67 and just had a blood test which fortunately was clear, but you’ve got too keep on top of it guys, don’t wait.

funnily enough i've just been to the doctor's with the same issue. I'm over 50 and my dad had prostate cancer so it is advised to get it checked. With covid i've put if off for a few years. For info the PSA test is merely a guide as there are a lot of false positives and vice versa. Check if you have any other symptoms too. I got a bit paranoid as i seem to need to piss more often , however, i'm told this is normal as you get older. Getting up once in the night is also not considered an issue. More than once is. Having a weaker flow is a big indicator BTW

Apparently the NHS are now using MRI scans which is showing more accurate results. The issue with a PSA test is that some men have a number outside of the normal range but they are perfectly healthy. In other words what is bad for one person maybe normal for another. So unless you have PSA test scores from years ago it is difficult for the doctors to know how relevant yours is. Anyway good luck to Ian.
