We lost, I feel bitter about how we lost,we haven't been great this season, but I was proud of that proper Palace performance.

It happens so often the ref feels the need to interfere and change the course of the game but on the whole a much better showing from our lot.

Really wasn’t anything special. Liverpool played like they didn’t know each other first half. Decisions making of ref was awful but still lost. Even if we did turn up today no point if we can’t turn up against the smaller teams. Roy always has his team playing when he is just about to get the sack. Pathetic

Can't fault the lads today as for the referee grrrrrr. With so many players now out against City Roy should just throw the youngsters in, it's a free hit.
One more point |

Yes, they had a better go at it, but this doesn't excuse or cover up the awful form in general over the course of the season thus far. And once again, a late opposition goal is our undoing.

It's good results we need and not performance. Playing well is all well and good but what's the point if you have nothing to show for it

Hate Liverpool and Klopp. Ref ruined the game for a Livarpool. Hodgeson still out although good performance. Special mention to Matthews, Lerma, Hughes and Clyne.
Big up the Palace!!!! |

I understand the sentiment Pat, it was a battling performance from a threadbare side who were robbed by the referee. That said, it is a threadbare squad. One that has lacked any meaningful investment, despite losing the player who had been keeping us in the league for years. An absolutely insane recruitment strategy has seen the only cash being beyond bizarrely spent on a defender who doesn't play, a forward who doesn't play and a keeper who cannot play. The chairman continually feeds the fans smoke and mirrors promises about new stands and 'pushing on' whilst doing nothing to deliver this. I believe the kids call it 'gaslighting'. We have a manager dragged out of retirement to try and muddle us though with a severely neglected squad. We have a reserve keeper now and very little to offer up front. We may have being robbed of a result against Liverpool, only narrowly losing, but this follows narrow losses against teams at the bottom of the league too. We are all set to enter double digit games and this calendar year with only a single win and probably no further points for the foreseeable, since one against a poor WHU. This really is a very bad time for us as a PL club. No money spent on the first team, bo!!ocks talk of the new stand only infuriating now, a manager and team being booed and abused as they struggle to even compete and a run of fixtures to continue this before no money being spent in January to address any issues. I didn't go today, by choice more than circumstance, and I cannot recall doing that before in this PL era. I was usually the more annoying 'match day enthusiast' amongst my cohort. I'm not going to speak for all but this is perhaps my most dismal, unenthused spell as a Palace fan since the Peter Taylor era (from memory) and am failing to muster interest let alone faith. I'll save myself the emotional pain. Very sad for me, I genuinely cannot see where our next point will come from or where any joy in being a Palace fan will emerge from currently. The manager biting back at fans and the chairman already near enough saying we'll do nothing in the transfer market is just the salt in the wounds for continual loss after loss.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

People are HAPPY with this? Lost, again, at home. After Wed's, so much better performance, Ref will be l'pools mom. Stupid from Ayew who was a mosquito in their blood. Hughes back to his nasty snapping best(mom for me). Lerma bombing forward, Clyne covering & shutting down when able. Ward, well nuff said, Edouard, why? Apart from the, awarded pen, Mateta? Richards played well alongside Lerma & look like he enjoyed himself. We will get roundly spanked by City, Chelsea & I really hate to say it, them.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

I feel your pain Nich , to make things worse my Mrs just said to me " Why so glum , its only a game " well im in the pub now . i cant see where our next points are gonna come from either . Im glad i didnt renew my membership for the first time in 10 years ! it costs me nearly 500 smackers to fly over to catch the Brighton game every year and a few more . I said i wait till the new year and see if the board spend any money before i spend any more of mine . looks like I'll be saving a few bob this year .

Rather than be pleased by a much better performance, against all the odds of injuries and an incompetent referee. You choose to once again repeat the same negative bilge.
